As a rule of thumb, only users who have direct access to information in SharePoint will have access to it when the information is embedded in Confluence.
So you can be sure that your NDA-protected PowerPoint file will still only be visible to the people who are allowed to see it – and no one else (including your colleagues, Atlassians, Communardo developers, etc.). Embedding content does not subvert access permissions in any way!
