Error when searching for Confluence content from the SharePoint webpart

Problem

After performing needed configuration for the SharePoint web part to work, you still receive the following error when searching for Confluence content via the web part.

Error in searchPagesOrSpacesTypeahead; statusText: error, responseText: undefined

No results are displayed even though content might be available in Confluence.

Cause

  • Confluence Allowlist is disabled

  • Confluence Allowlist is enabled and the SharePoint domain is configured in the allowlist.

Solution

  • In case the Allowlist is disabled, enabling it should fix the issue.

  • In case the Allowlist is enabled and a SharePoint domain is configured in the list, remove this entry and the integration should work correctly.
