Symptoms

When installing Legacy SharePoint connector for Confluence in the SharePoint server, you get this error message:

Cause

The issue happened because the installer was not deployed at SharePoint farm.

Resolution

You'll need to log in to a SharePoint server in your farm as a SharePoint farm administrator and install the connector at the farm level. Make sure to run the installer as administrator. Refer to this documentation (or the respective documentation for the add-on version you are using) for the details: Installing and Configuring the SharePoint Feature on SP 2013 (v 1.9).
