State of profile macro not displayed correctly

 Problem

After enabling/disabling the User Profiles for the Confluence profile macro (see the Administrator Guide) and changing to a different Data Center node, it appears the configuration has not been updated on this node.

Cause

Despite the state shown in the configuration, it changes (as can be seen in the People Directory: the profile macros are the same for each node).

This behavior is caused by Confluence, which does not correctly synchronize the plugin module state between Data Center nodes: the same behavior can be observed when plugin modules are enabled or disabled on a Data Center node; their state appears unchanged when checked on other nodes (though it actually is changed).
