How to change a user / login with a different Atlassian user

When you open the SharePoint Connector for Jira web part, you may not be able to see Jira issues because you are logged in to Jira with the wrong user. Or you would like to link another Jira site in the property pane of the web part, like in the image below.

It can happen when the Atlassian authorization window opens that the wrong user is selected in the top right area. If you try to change the user via a logout like in the picture below and log in with the new user, it may be impossible to return to the normal authorization flow in some browsers.

Solution

You can try to end all existing sessions with Atlassian in your browser.
You can do this by logging out of Atlassian or closing the browser tabs in which you are logged in with the wrong user. You can also open the browser in incognito mode.

You can then try the login process again. This time no user will be pre-logged in and Atlassian will prompt you to log in.

If this problem occurs very often, you can also try using a different browser. Currently only the Chrome browser has difficulty returning to the authorization flow.
