We are getting too many Metadata notifications

Problem
Anytime we make a change to the Metadata for Confluence, users are getting email notifications ... users are getting hundreds of emails.
Is there a way to stop Metadata for Confluence from sending notifications?
Solution
Generally, notifications are sent to anybody watching a page if Metadata is changed on that page.
If a user watches less Confluence pages with attached Metadata, they will also receive less notifications.
If you want to completely disable notifications for all users in your Confluence instance, you can disable the module Mail Notification Job Config (metadataMailNotificationJobConfig) under Manage apps > Metadata for Confluence.
Please note however that disabling the Mail Notification Job Config requires a restart of Confluence to work.
