How do I get federated search results in SharePoint?

I want to display search results of both SharePoint and Confluence in SharePoint.

Solution

To get search results from both Confluence and SharePoint on the same page, our best practice is to insert the Federated Search web part on the SharePoint result page. This way you'll get two blocks of results: One for SharePoint, and the second one for Confluence.
