Export: No metadata defined

Problem

I have a space with configured metadata sets and want to export them. However, in the Metadata Export tab in the space, I get the message "No metadata defined." I cannot export the existing fields.

Solution

You can only export space metadata sets that contain nothing but space metadata fields.

Therefore please check:

  • Is there at least one space metadata set in your space?
  • Does the existing set contain any global metadata fields?

To be able to export a "mixed" metadata set, remove the global metadata fields. (warning) If you remove a field from a set, all metadata values that have been added for this field within the space will be lost.
