Problem

When restoring a backup of your SubSpace Navigation configuration, the process may fail or only partially succeed. This can leave some Menus and settings unrestored, disrupting the functionality of your Confluence instance.

Solution

If the restore process failed or partially succeeded, you can manually restore your previous configuration by following these steps:

Step 1: Open the Spaces Drop-down

In your Confluence instance, click on the Spaces drop-down at the top of the page and search for Communardo Products Space.

Step 2: Access Space Settings

On the Communardo Products page, select Space settings from the left-side panel.

Step 3: Go to the Trash

In the Space settings page, find the Manage content section and click on the Trash link.

Step 4: Restore Deleted Pages

In the Manage content page, you will see a list of deleted pages. Each page stores the configuration data for a Navigation Menu (see the Data Storage section of our documentation for more information). Find the Menu you want to restore, then click the Restore button on the right.

Step 5: Confirm Restoration

After clicking the Restore button, a confirmation page will appear. Click OK to confirm the restoration.

By following these steps, you can manually restore your old Menus. They will appear again in the overview table on your “Menu Configuration” page in Confluence Administration.
