How to enable 3rd Party Cookies

In the prerequisites for the SharePoint Connector for Confluence app it is mentioned that it is necessary to enable 3rd party cookies in order to see embedded content.

Google Chrome

To enable cookies in Google Chrome (PC):

  1. At the top right, click More > Settings.

  2. Under "Privacy and security," click Cookies and other site data.

  3. Select one of the two options:

    1. “Allow all cookies”

    2. "Block third party cookies in Incognito"

To enable cookies in Google Chrome (Android):

  1. At the top right, tap More and then Settings.

  2. Tap Site settings and then Website Setting > Cookies.

  3. Next to “Cookies,” switch the setting on.

  4. Select one of the two options:

    1. “Allow all cookies”

    2. "Block third party cookies in Incognito"

Microsoft Edge

  1. under edge://settings/content/cookies deactivate the option “Block 3rd party cookies”.

Mozilla Firefox

To enable cookies in Mozilla Firefox (PC):

  1. Open the burger menu and select Options

  2. Select Privacy & Security

  3. Under "Cookies and Site Data" click on "Manage Exceptions"

  4. Add the domain of your Confluence (e.g if your confluence is under wiki.company.com then you have to add company.com)

 

Safari

To enable cookies in Safari:

  1. Open your Settings.

  2. Scroll down and select Safari.

  3. Under Privacy & Security, turn off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking” and “Block All Cookies”.
