User Profiles not Synchronizing with Crowd

This knowledge base article was created for User Profiles for Confluence. This specific issue is however also relevant for User Profiles for Jira.

Problem

We are having an issue with the User Profiles for Confluence. It never imports any data and returns the following message when we perform a manual synchronization. We currently use the Confluence internal directory and Crowd. All of the attributes do exist in our environment. Is there a setting to force the synchronization with a particular directory?

The profile data for 0 users has been synchronized with the configured directories in 0 seconds.
 
For the following attributes no values were found in the configured 
directories. This could mean that those attributes do not exist in the 
directories. Please review the attribute mappings in the relevant 
profile elements. cn, mail, mobile, telephoneNumber, title, uid

Solution

Crowd is currently not supported by User Profiles for Confluence/Jira. Please refer to Synchronizing constellations - does Crowd work? to resolve this issue.
